Everyone who answered the question. Please email me and I'll send you a copy of Oppressed :)

IMPORTANT!!!
I'm not a techy person. Some readers are having trouble downloading from Smashwords to their Nooks, if this is you please try the following advice (Thank you Karianne :))

If you go to shop on your nook and type in the search bar "overdrive media console" it should come up, but if you dont want the app just go to http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/268642 and add it to your cart and checkout and pay for it and it will bring you back to the same screen and you can scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the epub version and click download and it will download to your nook to go read it click on your library click on my stuff click on my files click on my files again then click on downloads and thats where you will find it, if you have the overdrive app then it will ask you if you want to download it to the app and you will click on yes so thats where it will be so then all you have to do is click on the overdrive app in you app home screen and the book will be right there, hope that helps.

  4. My most ambitious goal of 2013 is to help my beautiful 14 year old daughter realize that her beauty comes more from her heart than from her physique. As a young woman she has taken to cutting because she is teased for being a rare beautiful red head. She doesnt understand her own beauty that is within her personality and heart. C Barrett

    1. I am sending good thoughts her way and yours! I am a red head, and one day she will realize that she is unique! Being 14 is tough. I am glad she has a mom that wants her to see herself as beautiful!

    2. I am a previous cutter as is my best friend of 17 years, and it is as hard habit to break. We had each other to help a book called Cut by Patricia McCormick is ok, but it depends on the situation, I remember reading it and seeing my friend more than me, it also depends what she cuts for; blood or pain. I cut for pain because there was so much emotional pain I could not control, but I could control physical pain I was inflicting, so mine were shallow and never suicidal. Counseling will help, and not just her, but so you can understand it and better know how to treat it.I still fight it, but when my husband told me I was hurting him by hurting myself and threatened not only to cut himself, but deep enough to scar and on his face and how much I hurt him, stressed him, and to see him with tears in his eyes, I knew I had too much to lose. I go to him if I get the urge, but its hard having no one to talk to that understands your feelings as to why cutting is rational to you! If she wants someone who's been there to talk to, she can email me! I'm a good listener. aubreyaholm2009@gmail.com

    3. I thank you for your sharing, hearing that someone has the courage to stop cutting is inspirational. I do actually understand the needs behind the cutting, it still hurts to witness. I will share your email address with her and show her your response to my post. We are reading Kira's series together and learning to open our mother-daughter relationship to more magical love than ever before. I know she will get through this mountain of emotional termoil, I am praying that it is with the knowledge that there is beauty in her soul, heart and the world. Again thank you Aubrey and Lesly for your replys and prayers. God Bless, C. Barrett for my daughter Miranda

  17. I dont have a "goal" for this year, i have a way of living. I have started to realize what i have and have learned to not take it for granted. im only 13, and i have realized more than the average adult has, the one and only rule anybody needs in their life- Never in a million years take anything for granted because it can be taken away from you in a second and you dont always get a second chance in life.

  18. I don't have a goal in particular. I feel like every day u should strive to take the next step to bettering ur life and being the person u so long to be. I have many goals but I no that there not just for this year thee for life like always be the best mom I can be. Be kind to all and keep an oppen mined that others do what they do bast on there own reaction to life not because there bad people. Finish school and provide as a single mom. Life is only as dark as we let it be so I will strive to always stay positive and happy. So far it has worked and I feel stronger as a person every day and will continue to reach for my goals this year and be te best person for me and my little girl.

  23. I actually have a couple goals, both of which are important to me. I am a 33 year old mother of 2 wonderful kids(ages 14 & 9) and wife. My husband owns his own business which I help run. He just had a tumor removed from his bladder today and we now are waiting for the results of the biopsy. We are very nervous because both of his brothers have died of cancer. One of my goals is to quit smoking and help him quit as well because that is the main cause of cancer in your bladder. I also plan on going to college and get a nursing degree to help better our lives, my children's, my husband's and my own as well. Between running our business and everything the kids are involved in, our lives and schedules are hectic and we are always on the go. Going to school and quitting smoking will also show my kids that they can do anything they want as long as they are determined and disciplined. It may not be easy and be hard work, but it will definitely be worth it
